NewcastleGateshead Easter Egg Hunt
This Easter we've created our own treasure trail around NewcastleGateshead to seek out the quayside's hidden stories - and you can take part too
Easter Egg (noun): an intentional inside joke, hidden message, or feature - most commonly in a digital work such as a video game, movie trailer, or DVD menu. Easter eggs are revealed by an obscure sequence of keystrokes or mouse clicks or searching in obscure places. The name is used to evoke the idea of a traditional Easter egg hunt.
What many people don't realise, is that Easter Eggs are all around us in the physical world too. They are the stories hidden in plain sight that are left unnoticed as we go about our everyday lives.
Last year we devised a special "Easter Egg Hunt" around Newcastle and this year we've got a whole new challenge - this time on NewcastleGateshead Quayside.
Taking part in the GR NewcastleGateshead Easter Egg Hunt is easy. Feeling competitive? In the GR studio we’ve split ourselves into teams. Starting at different points around the route, we’re once again racing each other to see who can be the first to find all the Easter Eggs and make it back to the pub. Last year's city game got fiercely competitive, so find out how we got on this year via Twitter.
