Eccentric Tea Party

17 September 2010

Charity Tea Party asks you to don your Pearls!

We are organising The Eccentric English Tea Party and you are invited! If you are a lover of all things vintage and want to do your bit for charity, why not come along to The Townhouse Hotel, in Gosforth, on Sunday 3rd October and be transported back to the 1950s for a few hours.

Amongst the afternoon’s entertainment is tea tasting, vintage hair styling and make-up by Savannah Salon & Spa and cupcakes will be available for sale from Masterchef finalist and vintage aficionado, Stacie Stewart.

We are encouraging visitors to come along in vintage attire, although pearls, fascinators, satin gloves and top hats will be available to hire to ensure everyone is suitably stylish. We have even organised a professional photographer to capture the moment; photographs will be available for sale in a vintage sale frame.

The tea party is being held in two sittings at 1pm and 4pm in the setting of what was once a Victorian formal living room, the event will be to the tune of 1950s classic tunes.

We have decided to organise the event in a bid to raise money for various charities which are close to our heart, these will be announced in due course.

Lucy Gardiner, director at Gardiner Richardson said: “After last year’s extremely successful Swish in the City event, which raised over £1100 for Macmillan Cancer Support we were incredibly keen to organise another fundraising event.
“Local businesses have been really keen to be involved and we hope that this year’s event is an even bigger success.”

Tickets are priced at £20 and include entry, afternoon tea, a chance to win some glamorous goodies and mini makeovers.

You can get your ticket by emailing katherines@gardiner-richardson.com stipulating which sitting you would like to attend, either 1pm or 4pm. Further information can be found on Facebook at ‘The English Eccentric Tea Party’ group.

We are very grateful to the supporters of The Eccentric English Tea Party: Stacie Stewart of The Beehive Bakery, Savannah Salon & Spa, The Townhouse Hotel and Potts.
