The North East Big Drink Debate has now drawn to a close – but not before 12,524 people let us know their attitudes towards and relationships with alcohol. We worked with Balance, the North East Alcohol office, to encourage North Easterners from all walks of life to take part in the Debate by filling in a questionnaire.
We employed a wide ranging PR approach which included media relations, on street teams, a Facebook application, high profile launch events in Newcastle and Darlington involving a flair barman mixing cocktails and eye-catching street theatre. Balance had originally aimed to attract 10,000 responses.
