November – the only month that it's cool to have a moustache

It’s November. Time for the men of Gardiner Richardson to throw out the razor, practice their best Tom Selleck impression, get highly competitive and ask for us to vote on the best office ‘tache’. This can only mean one thing - Movember time again!

Eight of our men are taking part in the moustache, or ‘mo’ (as it is otherwise known to Movember regulars) growing frenzy to raise money for The Prostate Cancer Charity, a charity which aims to raise awareness and funds for the number one cancer affecting men – prostate cancer.

The rules for Movember are simple (and have been obeyed by even the hairiest members of Gardiner Richardson). Start Movember 1st clean shaven and then grow a moustache for the entire month. The moustache becomes the ribbon for men’s health, the means by which awareness and funds are raised for cancers that affect men. Much like the commitment to run or walk for charity, the men of Movember commit to growing a moustache for 30 days.

Leading the pack to grow a ‘mo’ is Project Director Dan Appleby, who drummed up support to get everyone involved and created team 'Mo Foe'. Dan’s moustache, although coming along quite nicely, could well be beaten to the post for the ‘Supreme Mo’ award by little Dan, Matt who is demonstrating the archetypal 70's handle bar tache, or our resident Italian Gino di Meo. However, with 15 days of facial hair growth time remaining - the race is not won yet!

If you want to donate to this worthwhile cause, visit our ‘Mo Foe’ team page: http://uk.movember.com/mospace/771440/ and select ‘donate to my team’.
