We’ve been working with UK pretzel giant, Penn State Snacks, to launch a brand new range of popcorn and pretzel flavours.
To introduce key journalists and bloggers to the new product range which will be hitting the market this summer, we recently held an exclusive launch event at the Anthologist bar in London.
The event showcased the innovative new range which includes air popped Sweet & Salt and Monterey Jack Cheese flavour popcorn, sizzling seasonal Spicy Tomato & Chorizo and Gammon & Mustard pretzels, and back by popular demand - the Worcester Sauce flavour pretzels.
The eagerly awaited half chocolate coated pretzels - the only bottom coated milk chocolate pretzels currently available on the market - were undoubtedly the star of the show and attendees were among the first to try them ahead of their launch in stores in October.
Journalists and bloggers were treated to a champagne reception and cooking demonstrations from Chef Kieran Moore who created unique recipes using pretzels as a key ingredient such as the parmesan biscuit and also creating delicious dipping sauces to be served with pretzels, including salted caramel, praline, and mascarpone with fresh basil and strawberry.
Key spokespeople including the head of brand innovations and the senior new product development technologist were on hand to answer any questions from the media.
Penn State’s growing community of fans on Facebook and Twitter have also been kept up to date with all of the latest product innovations, and one Facebook fan was lucky enough to win an a trip to the Product Launch event and sample the products for herself.
Following the event, we’ve received lots of positive feedback. There are lots of exciting plans in the pipeline as we continue to work with Penn State Snacks and introduce them to more of the UK media – watch this space!
