Tyne and Wear Metro reminds commuters to stay safe in their fun new video

Following the success of their last viral safety video, Metro asked GR to produce a new animation for their social media channels. This time they are warning against rushing to catch a train.

It's easy to ignore a station safety warning, after all they tend to be a bit dull. So, back in 2013 the Tyne and Wear Metro asked Gardiner Richardson to come up with an engaging way to spread their safety message.

Working together with our friends at Kuro Dragon, we produced an animated video with the message 'use your brain', encouraging passengers to avoid obstructing the train doors.

The animation gained 25,000 views in a matter of days, sparking national coverage in the press and a lot of noise on social media.

We were delighted when Metro approached us again this year to produce another video. The new campaign highlights the dangers associated with rushing to catch a train.

So remember... rushing around is never the way, if you don’t slow down, you’ll ruin everyone’s day!
