When we're willing to look at life differently we create genuine opportunities.
One of the North East's leading social housing providers.
When we began working with Thirteen it was a new organisation formed from the coming together of Fabrik and Vela Housing groups. The collective purpose of the project was “To be a catalyst to raise aspirations”.
We worked to explore, define and develop a clear understanding of the values and principles of the new organisation.
Choosing the name Thirteen was a bold statement and the visual identity for the brand was designed with the same approach. This was rolled out across a range of marketing materials, environments, livery, uniforms and online.
“Bringing together two successful and established organisations to create a new group is a big challenge. It is an even bigger challenge to come up with a name and identity that meets expectations and delivers ambitions.
Darren and his team were not put off by the scale of the task. From the very start of the project, we were reassured by their confidence, professionalism, energy and drive to create a new name with us.
At the heart of this was a well-developed and robust methodology; taking us step by step through a process to create a unified vision and shared purpose with the shadow board and executive team.
Finding 'the word' wasn't easy. GR were the essential link that ensured we looked objectively to articulate who we are, why we are and, where we wanted to be – helping us take that crucial bold step forward to get the name that is right for us.
The journey didn't end there. Work to create a brand identity that communicated our vision was just as comprehensive, thought provoking and engaging. GR were there every step of the way to ensure that our identity was right for our organisation both internally and externally.
GR demonstrated conviction and commitment to match our own; not afraid to confront and challenge or offer guidance and support when needed.
What we now have is a brand that will take us forward to successfully establish our new organisation, a 'story' to engage with our stakeholders and an identity that will stand the test of time.”
