University Technical College

There’s so much more to learning when you see where it can take you.

North East Futures are opening a new technical college in Newcastle and chose GR to inform and help execute their communications plan.

In early 2016 Gardiner Richardson created the identity for Newcastle’s new University Technical College. With an emphasis on work-related and practical experience, the college aims to fulfil the growing demand for skilled workers in the Information Technology and Healthcare Science sectors in the North East.

The identity work included a logo, colour palette, typeface and guidelines which reflect the brand’s key attributes – courageous, exciting, inspirational and ambitious. To further inform UTC’s communications we also outlined and developed some key customer personas.

We then worked on UTC’s communications strategy which draws on and compliments the identity and persona work.

Finally, we designed and developed a website for UTC in line with their new identity, which is now waiting to go live once UTC are ready to host an online platform.
